About Solar Angels

Why Choose Solar Angels
Get the solar system you desire, for less than you imagined.

How often have you heard over the years that the price of solar has come down and is now almost as cost effective as electricity generated from fossil fuels? This is actually a true statement. The price of solar has fallen over 70% since 2010 but you wouldn’t tell by looking at the average prices that are still being charged for installing solar panels for your home or business. The typical installer has somehow managed to keep prices sky high. That’s where we come.

Our mission to drive down the cost of installing solar so that in addition to reducing your carbon footprint, you can also save money on energy for decades to come. We can achieve this mission by streamlining our processes, working with the biggest distributors to get the best possible prices and limiting how much profit we gain from each client. While Solar has been one of the fastest growing energy sectors over the past decade, the adoption rate is still relatively low. Our strategy is to make up on margin by accelerating the adoption rate of solar through lower overall prices and education about the benefits of solar. Having a smaller carbon footprint for your home or business is great but isn’t it better if you can also do it in a way that makes financial sense?

As your solar installation partner, we will organize the work so you don’t have to worry about anything and get you on your way to generating your own clean renewable electricity. We have a strong combination of state-of-the-art equipment, high quality manufacturers with industry leading warranties, trained solar installers and pricing that is less than what our competitors offer. More importantly, you are doing your part in fighting climate change by reducing your carbon footprint. What’s better than saving green while going green?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What modules do you install?

The modules we install depend on the needs of our customers. How much solar energy needs to be generated? What space is available to place modules? We use only highly rated modules some of which are manufactured right here in the United States. These modules have been rigorously tested and all come with a 25-year performance warranty. If you have any questions about manufacturers, please contact us to discuss.

How many do I need for my house?

This depends on how large your energy bills are and how much of your energy you are seeking to replace with Solar. Most residential installations are between 7 kilowatts and 15 kilowatts.Using 400-watt panels, that’s between 17 and 38 panels.

How much space does this require on a roof?

Solar panels are modular by nature, so your system can be sized to fit your roof as well as your electric bill. The average size of the panels we use for most of our residential installation is 80 inches long by 40 inches wide. As a rule of thumb, each kW of panels will take up about 56 square feet of roof space.

How heavy are your panels?

Our most popular panels for residential installations weigh around 50 pounds each. We make sure to spread the weight of the panels across your roof so as not to place too much weight on any one spot.

How Long Do Solar Panels Last?

Solar panels are designed to last for more than 30 years and almost all manufacturers guarantee the power output for the first 25 years of operation.

Do these solar panels break easily?

No. Most modules are made from tempered, shatterproof glass and are designed to withstand up to 1” diameter hail strikes at over 50 mph as well as wind and snow loads up to 112 psf.

How much energy can it produce?

Energy production will vary based on the size of the system and its location. For the best estimate of what your home can produce, request a free solar consultation from a us.

Can I install a solar system myself?

While technically possible, we do not recommend that homeowners install their own systems. Most city and state building codes require a licensed electrician to connect the system to the grid. A trained solar installer can help to ensure that your system is well designed and qualifies for the maximum possible rebates and other incentives.
